Welcome to the Weighting for Happiness Project
This Project wasn't created because I had another answer to weight loss. It was created because I became convinced we were asking the wrong questions.
My career has taken me from women's health into systems thinking and behavioural economics. Although they seem like very different fields, they taught me the same lesson: complex problems rarely have simple explanations.
Over more than a thousand conversations with women, I heard remarkably similar stories. Women who had lost weight, regained it and blamed themselves, despite years of effort and determination.
Systems thinking taught me to stop asking what was happening and start asking why the same outcome kept repeating. That question became the foundation of the Weighting for Happiness Project.
Instead of creating another weight-loss programme, I created a series of diagnostics that allow women to investigate repeated weight regain before deciding what to do next.
I believe women deserve explanations that reflect the complexity of their experience.
